Update Account Email Address
In TeamSnap One, the email address associated with your account cannot be edited after the account has been created. This is because your account and profile information may be connected to multiple players, teams, organizations, registrations, and other TeamSnap data.
If you need to use a different email address, you can create or use another TeamSnap One account and associate your players to that account.
Before You Begin
The steps you follow depend on your role for the player:
- Primary Contacts can update player information and add or remove contacts from a player record.
- Secondary Contacts have view-only access and cannot add, remove, or edit contacts.
Change Your Email from the Mobile App
As a Primary Contact
If you are a Primary Contact, you can move your player associations to a new email address.
Step 1: Add Your New Email as a Contact
- Log in to TeamSnap One using your current account on the mobile app.
- Select any team.
- Select the Roster tab.
- Select your player from the roster list.
- Select Add Contact.
- Enter your new email address and add it as a Primary Contact.
- Repeat these steps for each player associated with your account. You only need to do this once per player, not per team.
Note: Invitation emails will be sent to your new email address for each player. If multiple players are connected to the same email address, you only need to create or log into the account once.
Step 2: Access Your New Account
- Open the invitation sent to your new email address.
- Create a new TeamSnap One account or log in to an existing account using that email address.
Step 3: Remove Your Old Email
- Log into the mobile app using your new account.
- Select a team.
- Select the Roster tab.
- Select your player from the roster list.
- Remove the contact record associated with your old email address.
- Repeat these steps for all applicable players. You only need to do this once per player, not per team.
Once completed, your player associations will be connected to your new email address.
As a Secondary Contact
Secondary Contacts cannot add or remove contacts themselves.
To update your email address:
- Ask a Primary Contact or your sports organization to add your new email address as a contact for each applicable player.
- Ask the Primary Contact or organization to remove the contact associated with your old email address.
- Repeat these steps for all applicable players.
Note: Invitation emails will be sent to your new email address for each player. If multiple players are connected to the same email address, you only need to create or log into the account once.
- Create a new TeamSnap One account or log in to an existing account using your new email address.
After completing these steps, you'll be able to access your player and team information using your new email address.

Why Can't I Simply Edit My Email Address?
TeamSnap One uses a centralized account system. Your email address is tied to your TeamSnap account and may be connected to multiple organizations, registrations, teams, and players.
Rather than changing the email address on an existing account, TeamSnap One uses player contact associations to grant access to player and team information. Following the steps above allows you to move that access to a different email address while maintaining the integrity of your account data.
