How to Create and Save Clips
You can easily save short video clips of great moments during a live game or from a replay. TeamSnap offers two ways to create clips, which are all saved in the Game Zone Media Hub.
Method 1: Clipping While Live Streaming
If you are the person actively running the live stream, you can create a clip instantly as the action happens.
- Go Live: Start your live stream as usual.
- Locate the Clip Button: On the right-hand side of your streaming screen, you will see a button labeled with a duration (e.g., "60" seconds).
- Tap to Clip: When a great play happens, simply tap this button.
- Clip Created: Tapping the button immediately captures and saves a clip of the past 60 seconds of your stream.
Method 2: Clipping from Replays (TeamSnap+ Feature)
If you missed a moment while streaming, or want to clip a different part of the game, you can clip from the archived replay.
⚠️ TeamSnap+ Required: Accessing and clipping from stream replays is a paid feature that requires a TeamSnap+ subscription.
- Navigate to the Game Zone: In the TeamSnap app, go to the game event you want to clip from.
View Replay: Tap on the Replay of the completed live stream.
Open Clipping Tool: Once the replay starts playing, look at the bottom of the screen for an icon that looks like scissors. Tap this icon to open the dedicated clipping feature.
Adjust the Clip:
- The clipping feature will show the video timeline. Navigate to the start of the moment you want to save.
- Use the left and right handles on the timeline interface to precisely adjust the start and end points and set the desired length of your clip.
- Tag Players (Optional): After creating the clip, you will be given the option to tag any players involved in the highlight. This makes it easier to find later!
- Save: Confirm and save your new clip.
Where to Find Your Clips
All clips created using either method are automatically saved and organized in the Game Zone Media Hub for that specific game.
