Hiding and Managing Conversations in TeamSnap ONE

TeamSnap ONE's Messages tab can get busy, especially if you're part of multiple teams or numerous group chats. To help you manage your view and focus on the most relevant conversations, TeamSnap ONE allows you to hide conversations. This helps declutter your messages while ensuring you don't miss important updates.

Here's how to hide and manage conversations in your TeamSnap ONE app:

1. Understanding Conversation Visibility

By default, when you open the Messages tab in your TeamSnap ONE app, you will see "All unhidden conversations." This means any conversation you haven't explicitly hidden will be displayed.

You can change this view:

• In the top right corner of the main Messages tab, look for a filter icon
• Tapping this icon will present you with options to filter your conversations:
  • "All unhidden conversations": This is the default view and shows only the conversations you have not hidden.
  • "Hidden conversations": Selecting this option will show you only the conversations you have previously hidden. This is useful if you want to find and re-engage with a specific hidden conversation.

2. How to Hide a Conversation

If you want to declutter your main conversation list, you can easily hide any conversation:

• From the main Conversations screen, tap on the conversation you wish to hide to open it.
• Once inside the conversation, look for the three dots menu (•••) located in the top right corner of the screen.
• Tap on the three dots menu.
• From the options that appear, select "Hide conversation." (note: you may have to scroll down)

What happens next? Once a conversation is hidden, it will no longer appear in your default "All unhidden conversations" view. It will only be visible if you change your filter setting to "Hidden conversations.", or if a message is sent to the hidden conversation.

3. Automatically Unhiding Conversations with New Activity

Don't worry about missing critical updates in hidden conversations! TeamSnap ONE has a smart feature to bring important conversations back to your attention:

• If a conversation is currently hidden, but there is a new message sent within that conversation, TeamSnap ONE will automatically unhide it.
• This means the conversation will reappear in your "All unhidden conversations" view, ensuring you are promptly notified of new activity and can respond as needed.

By utilizing the hide feature, you can tailor your TeamSnap ONE messaging experience to keep your conversations list organized and focused on what matters most, while still being alerted to new activity in all your conversations.
