Muting Conversations on TeamSnap ONE

While hiding conversations helps declutter your view, sometimes you want a conversation to remain visible in your list but simply stop receiving notifications for new messages. This is where muting comes in handy. Muting a conversation allows you to keep an eye on it without being constantly interrupted by alerts.

Here's how to mute a conversation in TeamSnap ONE:

1. How Muting Works

When you mute a conversation:

  • The conversation will still show in your main conversations list, whether you are viewing "All unhidden conversations" or "Hidden conversations" (if it was hidden beforehand).
  • You will not receive notifications (push notifications, sound alerts, etc.) for any new messages sent in that muted conversation.
  • The conversation will generally still show a badge or indicator if there are unread messages, but it won't actively alert you.

2. How to Mute a Conversation

The process for muting a conversation is very simple:

  • From the main Messages screen, tap on the conversation you wish to mute to open it.
  • Once inside the conversation, look for the three dots menu (•••) located in the top right corner of the screen.
  • Tap on the three dots menu.
  • From the options that appear, select "Mute conversation."

What happens next? Once a conversation is muted, you will no longer receive notifications for new messages within it. The conversation will remain in your conversations list, allowing you to check it at your convenience.

3. How to Unmute a Conversation

If you decide you want to start receiving notifications for a conversation again:

  • Open the muted conversation by tapping on it from your conversations list.
  • Tap on the three dots menu (•••) in the top right corner of the conversation screen.
  • From the options, select "Unmute conversation."

The conversation will then resume sending you notifications for new messages.

Muting conversations gives you greater control over your TeamSnap ONE notifications, allowing you to stay connected on your own terms and manage which conversations actively alert you.
