How to Join and Connect with Your Player’s Team in TeamSnap ONE

If a coach has shared a team invite code or invite link with you, here's how to use it to join your child's team on TeamSnap ONE.

This is also the way to join if you didn't receive an email invitation from your org, couldn't access the email it was sent to, or ran into any issues getting started another way.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • The team invite code or invite link from your coach
  • A TeamSnap ONE account (if you don't have one yet, you'll be prompted to create one)
  • The TeamSnap ONE app

JOINING WITH A CODE

  1. Make sure you have downloaded the TeamSnap ONE app and claimed your TeamSnap ONE account.
  2. Open the TeamSnap ONE app.
  3. On the home screen, tap the + icon.
  4. Select the option to enter a team invite code.
  5. Type in the code your coach shared with you.
  6. If the code is valid, you'll be taken to the team join flow. If it's incorrect, you'll see an error — double-check the code with your coach and try again.

A coach may send you a link to join your team instead of a code.

If so, you should follow the steps below to ensure you successfully join the team.

  • If you don't have the app yet: Download the TeamSnap ONE app first.
  • On your phone with the app installed: Tap the link you received. 
    • This will open your TeamSnap ONE app and you'll then be able to add yourself as a contact for your player.
  • On a desktop browser: You'll see a QR code to scan with your phone, which will open your TeamSnap ONE app.

CLAIMING YOUR PLAYER

Once you've entered the code or tapped the link:

  1. Select your child from the list of players on the roster.
  2. Enter their date of birth.
  3. You'll be added as their contact, and the team will appear on your home screen.

The first parent to complete this process will be set as the Primary Contact by default. 

Other parents can still join using the team invite code to claim their player. They’ll be added as secondary contacts by default, but the primary contact can be changed later if you need to update it.

WHAT YOU CAN DO ONCE YOU'VE JOINED

Once added as a contact, you'll be able to:

  • See the team on your home screen
  • View the full team schedule
  • Receive schedule updates and messages from the team
  • See all teams your player is on
  • Add other contacts (if you’re the primary contact)

REMOVING YOUR PLAYER FROM A TEAM

If your child is no longer on a team, you can remove them directly from the app. This option is available to primary contacts only and needs to be enabled by your organization. If you don't see it, reach out to a staff member within your organisation.

  1. Go to your team's roster and tap your player's name.
  2. Tap Remove from team.
  3. Confirm the removal.

If you have no other players on the team and are not a staff member, the team will be removed from your home screen as well.
