Live streaming, game scoring, media uploads and at-home training

One big release this week with a ton of new capabilities to capture and share memories, plus at-home training drills for your players.  

Live Streaming - free for everyone and integrated directly into the TeamSnap ONE app

  • As a contact on the team, you will have the ability to live stream all of your games.  

  • Live streaming feature is enabled for the game 15 minutes before the start time of the event.
  • Use your phone's camera to stream up to 1080p resolution.  
  • Users can watch the live stream in the app as well.  

Share live stream on the web with people not on the team

  • Want to share the live stream with grandparents who aren't contacts on the team?  Now you can.
  • Before you go live with a stream, click on the "Share" button to get a web URL to send to anyone who wants to follow the action.  
  • You can also share the live stream if you are a viewer in the app (i.e. not the person streaming).

Game scoring - keep everyone up-to-date on the game score and status.

  • Any contact on the team can update the score and the period of action.
  • When the game is over, set the status to "Final" so everyone knows the game is completed.

Upload and view photos & videos - share the highlights you capture on your phone with everyone on the team

  • All contacts on the team can upload photos and videos to the game zone to share highlights with the team
  • Users can view those media files directly from the app for the game
  • Users can also find all of the shared photos & videos in the Media tab for the team.  

At-home training - help your player build new skills with drills from the pros

  • Sport-specific drills for your player to watch and train
  • Includes drills for baseball, basketball, flag football, ice hockey, lacrosse, soccer, softball and volleyball

Ability to add / manage contacts from the mobile app

Users can now go directly to the web interface to manage contacts and their profile information from the iOS and Android mobile apps. Users will be able to manage contacts for their player(s).

  1. When viewing your player on the roster, there will be a link below the list of contacts to "Manage contacts".

  1. After clicking on "Manage contacts", the user will be able to see all of the contacts associated to the player, add new contacts, remove existing contacts, change their status and edit profile information.

Enabled the ability to download a file from chat conversation

Users can now download files (PDFs, Word docs, etc) from a chat conversation. If an organization admin, coach or parent sends a chat to the team in chat, users can save that file to their device for future reference or share with others.

Syncing TeamSnap ONE Schedule to your calendar is now live

Some highlights:

  • Available in the latest version (0.11) of both iOS and Android apps
  • Syncs events for all of your teams
  • When you are added to a new team, events for that team will be automatically added to your calendar
  • Sync with Apple, Google and Outlook calendars
  • Sync action is located on top-right of the All schedules tab

Web access for users to manage their accounts and contacts

We just released https://identity.teamsnap.com/ for you to manage your account on the web. 

Some highlights:

  • You can update your profile information like name, DoB, and contact information
  • View and update your players' information
  • Add / manage additional contacts for your players
  • Update password (and soon email)
