We’re one week into beta and we’re excited by the response we’ve gotten from our testers. In the last few days we’ve knocked out a number of bugs and added a bunch of new features, including:
- Custom Logos - You can now upload your team’s logo and have it displayed in the header.
- Color Schemes - Don’t like the default TeamSnap blue. Choose from one of 17 delightfully tasteful color schemes to match your team.
- Better Date Entry - No more of the ugly pop-up menus and 24-hour time. Now there’s a smooth pop-up calendar and text fields to make entering your games and events as easy as possible.
- Hide Payment Info - Don’t want to share with your whole team who has and hasn’t made their team payments? No problem. It’s an option under the Manager tab.
- Free-form Score Entry - If your team’s sport doesn’t track points for and against, the “Enter Result” area now has a freeform field for you to describe the result as text (i.e. “We came in first in the rowing regatta”) and an optional field to link to an external web page that has the full results.
Coming in the next couple days:
- Player photos and thumbnails on the Roster page
- iCal export of the schedule
- Refreshments!
We’ve also had several requests to be able to save more information with each game (a la “Wear the away jerseys”) and we’re figuring out the best way to support that. There will either be a “more information” field, or a way to link a message thread to a game.
Thanks to everyone who has used TeamSnap and given us feedback. Keep telling your friends and remember to click on the Feedback link at the top of your team page to let us know your ideas.
