New Feature: Email Notifications

We’re pleased to have rolled out Email Notifications to TeamSnap. Go to the Availability page and click on “Preferences” in the upper-right to see what your options are. You can choose to receive an automated email at any interval prior to games or practices/events, and managers can also receive an automated email that has details about who is available.

In addition, managers can now set a cut-off time after which players can’t change their availability. This is helpful if you need to “lock” availability at some point before the game to ensure that players contact you directly with changes.

New Feature: Hide Past Games and Events

By popular demand, there’s now a checkbox at the top of your Schedule page so you can choose not to show past games and events. This is helpful if you’re midway into a very long schedule and don’t want to see the old stuff. The old games and events will hide after a week, so they don’t immediately disappear.

How can I add a new statistic to the pre-set or delete one I don’t want?

All pre-set statistics can be altered to fit your individual needs. Just click on the “Manage Stats” button and you can delete any stat you don’t want or click on the “New Statistics” button to add any additional stats you may want.

Can I use a custom domain name with my team site?

Yes! But you need some technical know-how.

First you need to go into your Manager preferences and enter your custom domain name. This won’t do anything by itself, because you also need to go to where your DNS is registered and set your CNAME to point to go.teamsnap.com. Once that is done, your domain should point to your correct team on TeamSnap!

How do you erase stat leaders and start over?

Saving stats for a new game should reset stat leaders.

How does the stats reorder feature work?

Stats stay sorted within their category (i.e. offense, defense). The reordered stats will still respect their category, i.e. if you put saves above goals scored, but the defense category is below the offense category, then saves will still end up below goals scored because the category sorts first.

How can I make it so my players can only view some or no statistics?

You can edit a stat and make it private. Those marked private may only be seen by Managers.

Why won’t it let me choose a.m or p.m. when I try to add a new game or event?

You probably have your team set to use 24-hour time (i.e. 16:30 instead of 4:30 pm). With 24-hour time there is no AM/PM. If you’d rather use 12-hour time, just click on the Manager tab and change your time settings.

Why doesn’t my availability page have any scheduled items listed?

Nothing will show on the availability page if all the items on the schedule are past the actual date. Only future games/events will show on the availability page.

How do I change the order of how the statistics show on the page?

You can reorder the stas by clicking on the “Manage Stats” and then the “Reorder Stats” button.
